Formula 1 brought their awesome technology and race cars to Hollywood, CA, for the first ever F1 Hollywood Festival, October 29th and 30th. It was held days before the United States Grand Prix.

Located on Hollywood Blvd. Four F1 cars, three F1 teams, and four F1 drivers were present. Red Bull Drivers Verstappen and Alban were in attendance, driving next to Mercedes Petronas driver Valtteri Bottas and Renault driver, Daniel Ricciardo. The cars used in the demonstration were all older model year F1 cars, but they didn’t disappoint as they flew up and down the Hollywood street, doing burnouts and filling the California air with the sound of high-pitched engines.

Red Bull brought out their fleet of stunt and demo teams. Accompanying their F1 drivers were the Red Bull Skydive Team who jumped out of a plane over the festival and landed on the street avoiding the crowd and street lights. Red Bull stunt motorcyclist, Aaron Colton, rode down the street standing on his bike and doing other motorcycle stunts.

Brian Tyler and his orchestra performed “The Speed of Sound”, the F1 theme song in front of the crowd, bringing what many fans only see on the television to life.

For a sport that is reintroducing itself to the American market, hopefully F1 cars become a yearly feature in the Los Angeles area.
